William was a pup when a traumatic incident happened to him. His brother, Willhelm Anthes, decided to leave him for death.
It was during the summer, and his homeland was dying. There was still plenty of mammals, though not much greenery.
After his brother, Willhelm and him decided to go search around the their territory, Willhelm pushed the idea of a hunt for food. Tiny William knew it was a bad idea, though the older canine kept pressing on and on about how mom and dad would be proud. Finally, he relented, somewhat excited. The two went searching for a fawn, and when they found one, a large buck had decided to stop them. Willhelm fled, leaving William who very nearly died. He was injured, though over time the injuries healed.

He left his homeland in an original search for his brother, although he stumbled across the Graywinter Pack - which now goes by the name Ashwinter. He found an intriguing canine, who he very much liked. A tragic accident ended it however.
He currently resides in the South camp, somewhat struggling with himself. Though he's still trying.
